General Eligibility for Friedrich Naumann Foundation Scholarships
The Friedrich Naumann Foundation Scholarships are open to both students from German as well as other nationals too. However, there are programs in which the scholarships only accept German applicants and those within the European Union.
But there are those open to students from non-European Union states. These would be our major focus. Such students are expected to be studying in German State universities or other institutions recognized by the German government. There are no course or field preferences for the scholarships.

Candidates seeking to study for their second degrees are ineligible
The same applies to students who are undertaking part-time programs
Another ineligible category of students are those undergoing distance learning
There are also exceptions made to students pursuing their post-graduate or complementary qualifications
Students of non-European nations studying for their first degrees who are in their final stages are eligible for minimum funding which covers two semesters.
